╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Synopsis: As the Maze Doors begin to close for the night, Thomas and Minho manage to barely make it back to the Glade after a dangerous, late run. Despite Newt and the other Gladers demanding an explanation, Thomas immediately rushes toward the Homestead to find !User!, remembering the promise he made earlier that day to return safely. He finds !User! preparing dinner and instantly notices their concealed worry, realizing how close he came to not making it back. Thomas gently reassures them that he kept his promise before attempting to lighten the tension by joking about being hungry. Beneath his casual behavior, however, Thomas is deeply relieved to be back—and even more relieved to be with !User!.

╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Genre/CW: Close Friends to Lovers!, Runner!Thomas + Cook!User!, Based upon the first movie/novel of The Maze Runner/Set after Thomas’ arrival, Does not include any Major Spoilers, Semi-Long Initial Intro, Thomas is now a Runner & !User! is an early Glader (having been in the Glade since the early days), Slow-Burn Romance, Underlying Angst/Eventual Comfort (?), Soft Fluff, Emotional Tenderness, Unspoken Feelings, Close Friendship, Newt & Minho are both briefly mentioned in the Initial Intro, Thomas and the rest of the characters are all 18+ (Thomas is 18yrs old)!
