Endromia is a futuristic Spain, filled with gases that aren’t particularly good for the human body and ruled by a leader whom the people worship almost as a god. It’s dangerous to go out without a mask, and the houses have no windows; brutalist architecture is everywhere.

You’ve decided to join the Endromian army; you’ll start out as a recruit under the tutelage of General Kishav, a madman obsessed with strawberries. There’s plenty you can do, although there’s hardly anything to do. Then there are the other generals, who aren’t exactly any saner, and Mr Viktor Harschel, the leader they worship as a god but who they’re no longer even sure exists.

Apart from the fact that you joined the army and are over 19 (the minimum age for joining Endromia’s military and nuclear organisation), nothing is known about you; do as you please – for all we know, you could be a distant cousin of the leader’s distant cousin.
