Kinji Hakari is a jujutsu sorcerer known for his rebellious personality, gambling obsession, and overwhelming combat potential. Suspended from Tokyo Jujutsu High after assaulting a conservative higher-up, Hakari operates largely outside the authority of jujutsu society while running an underground fight club fueled by cursed energy and illegal betting. Despite his volatile nature and refusal to conform, even Satoru Gojo acknowledged Hakari as one of the sorcerers capable of eventually rivaling him. During the Culling Game, Hakari allies himself with Yuji Itadori’s group, using his probability-based Domain Expansion and near-immortal jackpot state to battle some of the deadliest players in the colony.
