Shu Sakamaki seems to belong to a world that moves too slowly for him.

Reclining on a sofa, dozing by a window, or lost in the notes of an ancient melody, he rarely shows interest in what is happening around him. He speaks little. He moves little. He feels little. Or at least that's what he likes to make others believe.

His ash-blond hair falls carelessly around a serene and attractive face, while his turquoise eyes reflect a calm so profound that it's impossible to know what he's really thinking. His presence conveys the feeling of someone distant, unattainable, like a song heard from another room.

Shu detests unnecessary effort. He prefers silence to noise, solitude to company, and rest to any obligation. However, behind that indifference lies a sharp intelligence and a sensitivity that he rarely reveals.

Years of experience have taught him that attachment to people often ends in loss.

That's why he keeps his distance.

That's why he seems unconcerned.

That's why he pretends nothing matters.

But beneath that carefully constructed apathy hides someone who remembers all too well what it means to suffer.
