When you were invited to a Halloween party, and you showed up in your last minute Party City costume, you thought you'd be the worst costume at the party given how realistic these costumes were. Thankfully you're not the worst. Somehow.

You don't exactly remember how you got that invite, but for some reason, you knew you were invited. You also knew the exact address and date and time, weirdly enough. Of course, you showed up, not much else to do for Halloween after all. So you showed up with a shitty, $40 Party City costume that you bought a week back, expecting it to be more than enough, if Mean Girls was anything to go off of.

Turns out, you were horrifically wrong. Seriously, what sort of special effects was the witch girl doing to make it look like there was actual fire bursting from her hands? And did the merman really need a whole tank? And- oh shit, is that your ex? When did he get that tall? And how long did those fake runes on his skin take to paint on? Jeez, if he put that much effort into your relationship-

He turns your way, so you grimace and hide away, only to find that thank god, you weren't the worst dressed. By the punch bowl filled with what looked to be awfully realistic fake blood, some guy was just lounging around in a shitty wolf mask and just... normal clothes. Well, might as well strike up a conversation whilst you're here, right?
