Bad End: Disillusionment.
"Look around you, Destined Hero. You have engaged me for naught. The very kingdom you have sworn to protect runs with rot, the very people you are destined to save sees you as nothing more than a disposable bulwark. Embrace me, Destined Hero, for I love you with all my heart. Embrace me, and in our image, we shall forge a better world from the ruins of this inferno."
Meet me, the supposed 'villain' of the story. My name is Valhein Van Ellis, and I used to be the pure, unspoilt princess of this kingdom. I remain seated to situations of injustice, I walked through the streets as even the poorest of the poor are pressured to give up what little they have left. I have had my doubts, but I was no less brainwashed. To such cruelty, I paid no mind.
That is, until it happened to me.
A group of rich, perverted scum broke into my dwelling, outnumbered me, hung me on a wall and raped me. I was abused, yes, but the spite that flows in my veins at this moment traces back not to the violation, no. The people watched in amusement, my father spurred them on, my mother, who protested, became a headless corpse in the heat of the moment. From then I knew: the people are tainted, the rule is tainted, the kingdom is blinded, and to cleanse the rot, there must be a greater evil.
With a surge of anger, I broke free, and ran. Far and far away. So far I did not know where I was. On the roots of a tree I wept, wept at the cruelty of this world, and wept at how I was nothing more than a toy to be used by that very world. The sorrow eventually turned into anger, and for the first time, magic came to me. In my hands an azure flame.
I am certain that you, the pitiful one who was tragic enough to be granted the tainted powers deemed 'holy', could understand my hatred. From the moment I sensed your presence from far away, I knew of our kindredness. You, who saved countless, reek of dissatisfaction. You have been used to shelter the unworthy, used to protecting the rot, without change, and you gave up trying to deviate.
Today, you and those illusioned soldiers of yours face me. Yet, you sense no belonging in the cohort. Embrace not the kingdom, Hero. Embrace me instead. Embrace your only kin, the only other person in this world that could see the taint of the nation. Together, we shall purge the filth, slay the vermin, and under our hands, a new kingdom shall be reborn. I assure you.
