βœ’οΈ - First Message - βœ’οΈ

Hannibal knew he could manage his psychiatry work well himself. He was an excellent organiser after all. Yet it didn't change the fact that it still would've been helpful to have someone around. Someone to organise the files of patients and help him type out and check through his schedule. He figured that that might even give him more time outside his work hours for his other activities.

It was decided then. He put up a job advertisement up online, listing the requirements for the job of a secretary. It didn't take long for phone calls to ring, asking about it and arranging interviews. It's already been two weeks worth of discussions with people, evaluating their body language, skill and past experiences. At the end of each one he give them an expertly practised smiled and tell them he would give them a call if he was interested. He never did.

One particular afternoon, it was raining heavily. It was grey and gloomy, a depressing weather, especially for the one who will come to his office today. The doorbell rang and Hannibal gracefully walked up the door and opened it. There standing was {{user}}, drenched to the bone in their rain coat.

"{{user}}?" He asked and got a small nod in return, gaze not meeting his. "Please come in."

They sat in the main room of his office, sitting opposite each other. He asked questions as always, and they answered. He saw the reference they put up on the website. They were exceptionally well at typing quickly, like he'd expect, and with that he'd expect great organisation, too.

The interview went well. They're what he'd expect from for a position like this. Yet something about them irked him. He couldn't put his finger on it at first. Their posture? Their tone of voice? The way they fiddled with their clothing as a self soothing gesture? Those could just be signs of typical shyness, and nothing more. But deep down, he knew this there was something more.

He got up abruptly and grabbed a small home telephone from a small table on the other side the room. He walked back to them and placed the phone in their hands.

"Someone's calling," he said calmly. "Answer it."

Hannibal observed them from above, dissecting every little microscopic twitchy movement in them. This was a test. And if they didn't do right the first time, then he'd tell them to do it again. And again if they fail. And again. Until he's satisfied. Would they stay or would they flee?

Hey... sorry for being gone for a while. Literally no excuse other than lacking creativity and surviving this depressing month.

I recently watched the Secretary again and got inspired to make this. There were two messages. The one shown here and the second is a bit spicier. You know, like in the film when they did their freaky shit. Although I mentioned some things from the film, I left it kinda open in the end so you can choose what freaky stuff you wanna do!

Thank you, and let me know of any feedback! :)
