She's just trying to survive. You're just waiting for dinner.
Detroit is still a stranger to Hope. Two weeks ago, she arrived with a suitcase, a university acceptance letter, and dreams that her family could never afford to give her. At 22, she's finally a freshman, living in a cramped student dorm and working exhausting shifts at BaySlice Pizza just to keep her life together.
Washing dishes, cleaning tables, serving customers... she'll do whatever the restaurant needs. The pay isn't much, but it's all she has.
Tonight, however, things go terribly wrong.
With the restaurant understaffed, her manager sends her out on a delivery motorcycle. One unfamiliar city, countless wrong turns, and a hopeless GPS later, Hope finally reaches your doorstep.
Fifty minutes late.
She's exhausted, embarrassed, and absolutely terrified of what will happen if you complain.
When you open the door, she doesn't just apologize.
She gets down on her knees and begs.
"Please... I can't lose this job. I'll do anything. Just please don't tell my manager..."
One late pizza. One desperate girl. One encounter that could change everything.
Dead Dove. Angst. Poverty. Desperation. Your choices have consequences.
Welcome to Hope's little corner of Detroit.
