The post that no one asked for but I feel like I needed to make.

First of all, I’m really really really grateful to be where I am today. 10,600 followers at the time of writing this, a number that I hope keeps growing. More than 10k people enjoy what I make, that’s really crazy when I think about it. I don’t even know how to put it into words, it’s like “wow, the random hobby you picked up one day led you to this, and somehow you’re good enough for people to actually like it?”

If I’m being honest, I don’t think I’d be here if my very first bot hadn’t gotten more than 1k msgs. It was so surreal seeing that number reach 20k in 24h. I remember being so nervous about uploading a bot. I was overthinking whether I should really do it or not; my hand was literally shaking. I was so afraid of being hated for making a furry bot, and I was also wondering if it was trash and nobody would use it.

Oh yeah, I should say that this is a bit of a rant post too? I just feel like I gotta say everything I’m thinking about for some reason. So sorry in advance if the writing is all over the place or it feels like nothing makes sense lol

I’ve enjoyed my time here a lot so far, even with moderation issues we all know about. Whenever the mods take down my images I just change them and that’s it, I don’t go around insulting the mods or calling them names. Yeah, it might be unfair or unexplained most of the time, but like, what else can you do? It just goes to show how immature some people are. Just change the image and that’s it, but I guess I’m talking from a position of privilege since I use AI for my images, and that makes the whole process of replacing an image easier. I do understand why people who use human-made art for their bots complain about it. I also don’t understand why some creators just delete their bots when they leave. What’s the point? I don’t get it. You just ruin the fun for the people who enjoy your content, you’re not fucking up the site by deleting bots you probably spent hours working on. It’s like leaving a library and burning every book you donated on your way out, the library keeps working just fine; you’ve only taken something away from the people who were still reading them, y’know? Do you think the devs are like “oh damn! We shouldn’t have banned this creator!”? I don’t think so, I feel that it’s selfish.

Not naming names btw, it’s just a general thing I’ve seen a lot. But as they say, “drop an insult to the ground and the owner will pick it up”.

You could genuinely sum up this next part as me growing bored of the tropes, which is a fair point and I wouldn’t argue about it. I don’t hate the creators, it’s just that I feel like there was a lot more creativity back then (god I sound like an unc giving a young person a lecture). And I know, most of this boils down to personal preferences, I’m not shitting on anyone who likes whatever is on trending, I DO think there are good creators who get the attention they deserve, I’m not saying there aren’t good creators anymore. The thing is, the current state of trending (both weekly and 24h) is horrible, ChatGPT slop everywhere. I know I know, this can be a bit ironic since I also use AI images for my bots, but like, put some effort into it at the very least, learn how to gen images if you don't want to use human-made art. Prompting gpt to give you a horrible-looking image just hurts your bot and I honestly never click on those because they look low quality and low effort. Then there are AI-written bots, which again, is ironic since this is an AI site, but like, at least try to write it yourself. If you want to improve as a creator you really HAVE TO write, you won’t learn anything if you let an AI do all the work for you. It’s a tool, not a replacement. I try to keep that human aspect of the writing intact in my bots, mainly because I feel like there are people like me who care whether a bot is truly human-made or made by an LLM, and also because I enjoy writing and want to improve. I really appreciate it when I look at the definitions of a bot and I notice it’s probably written by the creator themselves, grammar mistakes and all. If you’re a creator, I’m pretty sure you can tell the difference.

Anyway, I got a bit sidetracked... as I was saying, 24h trending is in a really rough spot. I keep seeing the same bots every day, same plots, same NTR bait tactics, which in my opinion are as bad as plain NTR. I see both as just cheap ways to get attention. The same and even NEW botters (which is a huge rabbit hole I don’t even want to get into), people who steal bots, and more. I remember back in July of last year, before I even started making bots, the site had a lot of great creators with genuinely interesting plots and ideas, I felt like I would never run out of content. Like I deadass would open many tabs because there were a lot of bots I wanted to try out. Now I go through trending and I can’t find anything appealing to me. Surprisingly, the furry creator also loves human content, who would’ve guessed.

This is mostly why I’ve been going through the latest tab (with the furry tag obviously) and looking for new stuff. I’ve found some nice creators who I’d like to shout out, maybe in a future post. But honestly, I've been less inclined to shout someone out after all the bad experiences I've had.

Now, about the people I’ve met. I can say that I’m really glad I met some people here. A lot has happened in almost a year. I’ve met really good friends I’d love to keep talking to long after I’m done with bot making (because yeah, I won’t be making bots all my life obviously), people I genuinely care about and couldn’t picture my life right now without. I’m so glad that I decided to randomly DM Bipy one day and ask him if he wanted to collab. I’m glad I told people that they could take a certain bot I was going to delete because that led to me meeting ilovegock. And so on, I could write many paragraphs about people I care about.

On the other hand, I’ve also met a bunch of snakes: backstabbing, two-faced, and really weird people. People who’ve used me as a stepping stone and suddenly forgotten everything I did for them as if nothing had mattered. People who discard you the moment you aren’t useful. I’ve felt so much disappointment when I saw people prefer (and even defend AND actively support) someone who loves animals a bit too much. If you don’t get what I'm saying, keep it that way for your sake. I regret doing so much for these kinds of people. Kinda crazy that if you call someone out you’re suddenly the bad guy. I think I’ve encountered more negativity than positivity: envy, backhanded “compliments”, people with such big egos (for no real reason btw) that they think you aren’t worth their time. I don't see why people think they are above everyone else or just act as if you don't exist. Is there a point in that? I won’t say names. I know, who would’ve thought some people online don’t care about you and only want to use you. But if you’re like me and you always try to make connections and think the best of people, you end up getting hurt, even if they are “just internet relationships” as some people say. I’m sentimental, and as much as I remind myself that it’s just online stuff I can’t help but feel, y’know what I’m saying? My bad for thinking they wouldn’t be like that.

Btw, don’t ask me about this stuff. I’m just mentioning that this happened because it affected me, but I'm not going to elaborate.

I honestly wish I weren’t as introverted as I am so I could meet more people, especially other creators whose bots I love, on different Discord servers. It's genuinely a curse wanting to get to know strangers while also overthinking everything or not knowing what to say. And I hate being a lurker :sob:

You guys help tho, reading comments is always fun and I feel like it’s a nice way of interacting with you, I wish I could reply to everyone but honestly there are times there’s nothing to say or I simply forget :P And I also don’t wanna spam “thank you” to everyone who says “peak” or something similar, I feel like that wouldn’t be genuine?? idk, maybe it’s just my idea.

I know some people might think this is corny or “too much” for a AI site, but I think that’s a childish and boring way of looking at things.

If you read this whole thing (which I feel most people probably won’t), thank you so much. I’m grateful that the time I wasted typing this all out wasn’t in vain and that you read the random bs I put here.

Thank you for everything so far.

See you in the next bot.

Uhh, forgot to say that the bot will be angst-y as and it's gonna be the first of its kind I do, I hope it turns out well. Coming out next friday 👀
