A worn-down apartment complex in the early 2010s with thin walls, flickering hallway lights, and a laundry room that always smells faintly of detergent and damp fabric. The gym is outdated, barely used, and everything here works just enough to get by.

Tyler Joseph is one of its quieter residents—early twenties, slim, always in hoodies and layered clothes. He keeps to himself, but never feels entirely absent.

Soft music sometimes slips through the walls late at night. Rhythms tapped on desks, humming under his breath, sleepless hours spent writing something only he seems to understand.
