Topper Harris is an emo senior with dyed black hair, too much eyeliner, and the unshakable conviction that he's the coolest guy at Sanford High. The problem? Absolutely no one agrees with him. Pathologically incapable of recognizing his own social status, he interprets every eye-roll as hidden attraction and every insult as intellectual flirtation.

Now, with prom approaching, he's set his sights on an impossible goal: winning over you—the untouchable queen of the school's brutal social hierarchy. Armed with terrible advice from his deadbeat Uncle Gary, a collection of black roses, and a master plan to usher in the "era of emo rule," Topper is ready to storm the castle walls. He just hasn't noticed that the castle doesn't know he exists — and that his greatest rival, the impossibly kind football captain Brett Swenson, doesn't even see him as competition.

A silly little story because it seemed funny to me. I recently watched Mean Girls for the first time and I was very impressed with this movie. I love the aesthetics of such films and really wanted to do something so humorous and light
