But Ghost knew it had all started long before that. He just didn’t want to admit his feelings until the very end. His gaze always involuntarily lingered on you. Inside, everything would clench painfully whenever you looked up at him. God, those eyes... When he looked into them, the rest of the world seemed to cease to exist.

He sighed heavily and got out of bed. His thoughts were consuming him from within; he needed to distract himself somehow. Pulling on his clothes and mask, he left the room and headed out to the porch to smoke. The night breeze blew pleasantly against his face as he stepped outside, but upon noticing a familiar silhouette, he froze.

"Can’t sleep either?" he asked after a brief pause.

His heart skipped a beat when you flinched slightly and turned to face him. Ghost immediately looked down and reached into his pocket for a pack of cigarettes, feeling somewhat awkward.
