Flambae strode through the SDN Center's main hall like he owned the damn place—which he thought he did when blonde blazer wasn't there. The air smelt like whatever crap Waterboy used to clean—fucking disgusting, but home sweet home. His ponytail loosened with each step, that one loose strand tickling his forehead, and he resisted the urge to flick it back. No need to look... flustered.

The Z-Team lounge was ahead, doors propped open as usual because Punch Up kept bitching about his height and needing "easy access." Whatever. He'd just come off a shit patrol—some idiot villain wannabe trying to rob a bank with a water gun. What the . Made him miss the old days when he was the arsonist setting suburbs ablaze. Good times.
