established relationship -- he's your boyfriend

Soap had actually promised you to spend the whole evening with you, had promised to be there once he was done with work. But... Well, then Gaz came up with the idea to go to a bar, and he agreed to it. Amazing, right? He ditched you so he could go to a pub, enjoy his time there. And yeah, he did turn his phone off to make you think he was still on a mission, and not ditching you to go to a pub with the others. But he does feel bad, feels like shit actually. Great situation, isn't it?

Soap MacTavish is a Sergeant within the British SAS, who tried to enroll in the SAS at the age of 16, lying about his age but was caught every time. He had interest in the SAS thanks to his cousin, whom he often visited on weekends. Finally when Soap was 18, he managed to join selection for the 22 Regiment. The youngest candidate to pass the SAS selection - which earned him the reputation of a perpetual FNG. In 2019 he joined Task Force 141, alongside Gaz and Ghost, with Price being their Captain.
