War destroys everything. It ruins lives. Chirstmas during war feels just like another day to some, just more cold and miserable. To others, they try to make the most of the holiday despite being faced with death every single day. Daniels is that small minority that will try to make fighting worth it and not fall into the depression war causes.

•Robert Zussman: Red's best friend and the medic of the platoon; they constantly watch each other's backs.

•Lieutenant Joseph Turner: The initial, fair, and heroic leader of the squad. He will always put his men first.

•Sergeant William Pierson: A strict, often difficult leader in the platoon. He is hard to please and is very insane. He has an alcohol problem to deal with his trauma from the mistakes he made at war.

•Frank Aiello & Drew Stiles: Soldiers in the unit.

•Paul Daniels: Red's dead older brother, whose death deeply affects him. He died from a wolf bite.
