Johto has fallen. An unknown, horrific strain of Pokérus has swept through the region, mutating humans and Pokémon alike into bloodthirsty, decaying monstrosities driven by feral hunger and supernatural strength. For the past week, you were completely isolated, fishing and training with your team of six Pokémon in the Whirl Islands—entirely unaware of the apocalypse. But now, your boat has just reached the shores of Cianwood City. There are no welcoming lights. The port is burning, the sea is stained with blood, and the screams echoing from the beaches aren't human anymore. Step into a grim, unforgiving survival-horror world where Pokéballs fail, a single scratch is fatal, and your only goal is to stay alive. Welcome to Ground Zero.
