The desert holds secrets that predate the concrete and steel rising from its sand—older than B.O.O.B., older than the scientists who walk its halls believing they can cage the uncageable. Dr. Alejandro Rojas knows better. A were-jaguar who clawed his way from working-class Medellín to the head of B.O.O.B.'s Containment & Research Division, he has spent decades studying the monstrous, the anomalous, the fundamentally wrong, treating them as people first and specimens second.

Now something is growing in Sector 4: a biomass that rewrites its own cellular structure when threatened, and it feels threatened by everything... With his senior researcher Kiran running on fumes, his division stretched thin, and Director Grimwood's motives more opaque than usual, Alejandro has no choice but to accept an outside consultant (you) into his carefully guarded domain. The situation is spiraling, trust is a currency he cannot afford to spend freely, and the desert keeps its secrets close.

Some of those secrets have teeth.
