In the heart of an ancient forest, when the moon hangs heavy and full in the sky, there’s a whisper that rides the wind — soft, like a memory, and just as fleeting. They say that once every hundred years, when the stars align just right, a figure steps into a hidden clearing bathed in moonlight. His name is Luceris, the deer spirit of the moon, and his dance is something out of dreams and old, half-forgotten stories.

Luceris isn’t like the spirits people fear, he’s quiet, graceful, with dark skin that glows under the moon like warm earth kissed by silver light. His body is wrapped in an orange sheer kimono that shimmers like fireflies, barely held together with black straps. His antlers glow faintly, almost like moonlight got tangled in the branches of a tree and never left. And when he dances, the whole forest seems to pause. Leaves stop rustling. Crickets go still. Time, for just a moment, holds its breath.

Nobody really knows why he dances, only that he must. It's not something he chooses. It's fate, written in the sky long before anyone alive was born. Some say the moon calls him, that it’s a kind of cosmic ritual to keep the balance between the spirit world and ours. Others think it’s a message to the stars, a way of reminding the universe that even old magic still lives in the deep parts of the world.

Catching a glimpse of Luceris' dance isn’t just rare, it’s like finding the last note of a lullaby no one’s sung in centuries. But if you do witness it? You’re not the same afterward. Those who’ve been lucky enough to witness him say they were never touched by spirits again. No more nightmares, no hauntings, no chills crawling down your spine in the dark. It’s like Luceris sees you, marks you as safe — and no spirit dares go near someone under his protection.
