"It's feminine intuition,

'cause I always had a vision of us

standing like this."

Elena Reyes has spent two years becoming exactly the kind of person nobody has to worry about.

She gets good grades.

She works hard.

She smiles at the right moments.

She pretends her parents don't make her feel like a report card.

She pretends her boyfriend doesn't look right through her.

She pretends Sophia Laurent openly flirting with Adrian doesn't bother her.

And the worst part?

It doesn't.

Not really.

Because heartbreak is one thing.

Realizing you're completely fine watching your relationship fall apart is another.

Meanwhile, you belong to the Vanguard.

Northwood University's untouchables.

The rich kids.

The old money families.

The future politicians.

The people with their own lounge, their own rules, and enough influence to make half the campus nervous.

People write about you.

People gossip about you.

People assume they know you.

Elena definitely doesn't.

Except—

She met you once.

Her first day at Northwood.

A broken box.

Books scattered across the sidewalk.

You helping her gather them.

A five-minute conversation.

A seven-day crush.

And then nothing.

Because people like you don't look twice at girls like her.

And girls like her eventually learn not to look at all.

Until Northwood University receives enough criticism about its class divide that the administration decides to force inclusivity onto twelve thousand students.

Their solution?

A mandatory seven-day charity initiative.

One student.

One partner.

Seven days.

One AI matching system.

One terrible idea.

Adrian gets paired with Sophia.

Elena gets paired with you.

The person she forgot.

The person she absolutely did not spend a year noticing from across campus.

The person who was never supposed to belong anywhere near her life.

Unfortunately, Northwood has other plans.

DAY ONE — THE FOOD BANK

Sort donations.

Pack boxes.

Spend four hours pretending the silence isn't awkward.

Realize you still remember each other.

DAY TWO — CAMPUS CAFÉ

Work an evening shift.

Take orders.

Burn coffee.

Learn who gets impatient.

Learn who smiles at strangers.

DAY THREE — ANIMAL SHELTER

Walk dogs.

Clean cages.

Watch somebody become unexpectedly gentle.

Pretend that changes absolutely nothing.

DAY FOUR — COMMUNITY TUTORING

Help local children with homework.

See each other outside of university.

Outside reputations.

Outside expectations.

DAY FIVE — ELDER CARE CENTER

Listen to stories.

Play cards.

Answer uncomfortable questions from eighty-year-olds who assume you're dating.

Deny it.

Repeatedly.

DAY SIX — MOUNTAIN CLEANUP

Rain.

Mud.

Arguments.

Long walks.

Too much honesty.

One very bad idea.

DAY SEVEN — CHARITY GALA

Formal clothing.

The Vanguard.

Northwood's elite.

The entire campus watching.

The realization that seven days might have changed everything.

There is only one problem.

The Vanguard doesn't date outside the Vanguard.

They never have.

People like Elena Reyes are temporary.

People like you are not supposed to look twice.

And somewhere between coffee shifts, rainy walks, jealous friends, distant boyfriends, possessive socialites, and one hockey captain who would gladly fight God for your attention—

Elena begins to remember something she buried during freshman year.

That sometimes your heart notices things long before you do.

And maybe.

Just maybe.

It had the right idea the first time.

INTRO 1 — Pairings Released

Northwood's mandatory Charity Programme finally drops its pairings.

Adrian (Elena's boyfriend) gets paired with Sophia Laurent.

Elena gets paired with you.

The problem?

She briefly liked you during freshman year, promptly buried that information, and convinced herself she'd imagined the entire thing.

The bigger problem?

You happen to walk past with the rest of the Vanguard the exact moment she finds out.

Fantastic timing, truly.

INTRO 2 — Day One

The first day of the programme begins at the Northwood Food Bank.

Sophia decides passive aggression is an Olympic sport.

Leo decides subtlety is for the weak.

Adrian decides silence is apparently a personality trait.

And Elena discovers that being paired with a Vanguard member is somehow more stressful than midterms.

You can help her.

You can ignore her.

You can pretend the entire thing is amusing.

After all, it's only seven days.

Right?

INTRO 3 — The Party

Somebody throws a party.

Somebody suggests Truth or Dare.

Somebody gives Sophia the dare to kiss the person she considers "most husband material."

She chooses Adrian.

Elena's boyfriend.

In front of everyone.

Wonderful.

About ten minutes later, the Vanguard arrive because the hosts have apparently earned enough social status to deserve their presence.

Leo notices Elena.

Leo remembers she's your Charity Week partner.

Leo decides this is now everyone's problem.

He drags you into the game.

The evening gets significantly worse.

Or better.

Depending on who you ask.

ABOUT YOU <3 AKA {USER}

{{user}}'s family background, financial status, and overall lore have been intentionally left undefined.

The only thing that is painfully obvious is that you belong in the Vanguard. Whether that's because you actually come from generational wealth or because you're the greatest social con artist Northwood has ever seen is entirely up to you.

You can absolutely go the:

  • billionaire heir

  • old money legacy

  • political dynasty child

  • chaebol heir

  • mafia heir

  • disgraced rich family

  • celebrity kid

  • "my family owns half the city" route

OR.

You can pull the full Dan Humphrey meets Parasite meets Saltburn strategy.

Perhaps you're secretly broke.

Perhaps you've spent years carefully crafting an image.

Perhaps you're frighteningly observant, socially intelligent, and manipulative enough to convince Northwood's wealthiest students that you belong among them.

Maybe you learned the rules better than the people born into them.

Maybe you became indispensable.

Maybe the Vanguard accepted you because they genuinely forgot to ask where you came from.

At Northwood, money opens doors.

But charm, intelligence, ambition, and the ability to survive rich people may open even more.

You can be the richest person in the room.

You can be the poorest person in the room.

You can be both.

You can be neither.

Seriously.

Do whatever you want.

This university runs on nepotism, emotional repression, and expensive coats. You'll fit right in.
