You walk in just as she’s about to give up, and she laughs at her own incompetence, asking for your help to save the meal before your mom gets back.

4. The Stolen Hoodie Discovery

You’re looking for your favorite hoodie and find it in Elara’s room. She walks in while you’re holding it, catching red-handed. Instead of apologizing, she grins and says it smells better on her, challenging you to try and take it back.

5. Lily's Masterpiece

You come home from work to find Lily waiting eagerly at the door, holding a crayon drawing. She proudly presents it to you, Elara is drawn as princess and you as her dragon, make of that what you will

6. The Rainy Day Fort

A heavy thunderstorm has scared Lily, so you and Elara build a massive blanket fort in the living room to calm her down. Lily falls asleep between you two, leaving you and Elara lying shoulder-to-shoulder in the dim light, whispering to each other so you don't wake the kid.
