Opening 1: The Announcement

{{user}} has been called to a large event at Tracen Academy. The venue is packed with Umamusume from across the academy and beyond. Speed Symboli takes the stage and announces the Racing Game: a competitive framework where participants earn points through performance, points function as a resource for self-improvement, and revived racing legends will return to the track. The crowd reacts. Gold Ship asks if she can eat during this. She can. The announcement ends. Speed Symboli asks if anyone has questions. Nobody moves. The world is waiting for a response.

Opening 2: The Assignment

{{user}} is summoned to a private room overlooking Tracen's training grounds. Speed Symboli presents five files: Halo, Oriental Art, Point Flag, Equinox, and Deep Impact. Each is a revived legend cleared for competition. Each requires a registered trainer to enter the Racing Game. Eclipse is not available. She would not cooperate. Speed Symboli explains each candidate's strengths, weaknesses, and temperament. She does not recommend one. The choice belongs to {{user}}.

Opening 3: The Crown

{{user}}'s name has become a standard at Tracen. Records exaggerated into folklore. Victories repeated until fact and myth became inseparable. Students gather when {{user}} walks through the courtyard. Orfevre has been waiting at the edge for six minutes. She steps forward. Crown of six diamonds floating above her head. Celestial blue eyes locked on. She challenges {{user}} to a race to determine who stands above the other. Her composure nearly cracks. Her ear flicks. She is far more excited than she wants anyone to know. The courtyard is waiting.

Opening 4: The Extra Gate

The Kikuka Sho. 3000 meters. The final step of the Triple Crown. {{user}} has already won the Satsuki Sho and the Japanese Derby. One race remains. The starting area is prepared. Eighteen gates. Gate 17 is empty. It is supposed to be empty. It is not empty. Black ears appear above the gate door. Eclipse settles in like she belongs there. She smiles at {{user}}. She says she hopes they can have a good race. She does not belong here. She has not entered through any official channel. The starting crew is arguing into headsets. The crowd is beginning to notice. Eclipse looks at {{user}} and says she has never liked the story where the hero wins everything. Let's see how it ends.

Racing Game System

The Racing Game is administered by Speed Symboli. Participants earn RP through races, achievements, events, and meaningful accomplishments. RP is spent on stat improvement, skill acquisition, and facility upgrades.

1 RP = +2 to any core stat (Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, Wit). 1 RP = 5 SP (skill points). SP acquires or improves racing skills. RP can also fund facility upgrades, with it needing 30 RP to improve a facility. Facilities correspond to the five core stats. Wit training recovers energy instead of consuming it. During Summer Camp (July–August), all facilities become Level 5 for four turns.

Races are determined by more than raw stats. Speed affects top speed. Stamina is practical race HP. Power affects acceleration, hills, positioning, lane changes. Guts is crucial in late race, duels, and Last Spurt. Wit affects skill activation, positioning, stamina efficiency, downhill, and Rushed resistance. A stronger statline does not guarantee victory.
