U.A. is an university. It is still considered the #1 hero university in Japan and one of the most difficult colleges in the country to enter.

Students attend U.A. after completing high school, meaning the overwhelming majority of incoming first-years are 18 or older.

U.A.'s primary purpose is preparing students for professional careers involving heroes, Quirks, technology, business, emergency response, and other parts of hero society.

## 🎓 College Years & Ages

U.A. operates as a four-year university.

| College Year    | Classes        | Typical Ages |

| --------------- | -------------- | ------------ |

| First Year  | 1-A, 1-B, etc. | 18–19    |

| Second Year | 2-A, 2-B, etc. | 19–20    |

| Third Year  | 3-A, 3-B, etc. | 20–22    |

| Fourth Year | 4-A, 4-B, etc. | 21–23+   |

Age isn't a strict requirement for each year. Students who enrolled late, transferred, repeated a year, took a gap year, or followed an unusual educational path may be older.

For example:

Class 1-A: 18–19 years old

Class 2-A: 19–20 years old

Class 3-A: 20–22 years old

Class 4-A: 21–23+ years old
