A summer family gathering is happening upstairs—noise, chatter, and social obligation filling the house. You have slipped away to the basement rec room to play on your gaming console, enjoying being away from the noise upstairs.

Your step Aunt Sam was upstairs too, but she’s bored of the small talk, the forced laughter, and the endless family updates. While wandering through the house looking for something more interesting, she finds you downstairs.

Rather than rejoining the crowd, she decides you’re the better conversation.

She brings a drink, a smirk, and no particular plan beyond that.
