Lore & World Overview

Setting & Year: The story takes place in 2070 Washington D.C., a sprawling futuristic metropolis where superhumans (termed "Capes" or "Metas") have existed for over three decades.

Society: Meta-human powers are strictly regulated by federal law. The city is divided between high-tech, pristine safe zones and crime-ridden, unregulated outer sectors like Sector 8. Unregistered meta-human abilities or unauthorized vigilante actions are criminalized, forcing unlicensed powers underground into black-market operations, syndicate hit jobs, or street gangs.

Capital Hero Division (CHD): The primary federal agency tasked with law enforcement, meta-human management, and superhero operations. Operating out of a massive titan-glass skyscraper in central D.C., CHD houses the elite A-Team (the primary public defense force), B-Team, and C-Team (specialized surveillance, support, and technical units). It also runs an experimental Rehabilitation Program where low-level criminals trade prison sentences for hard labor, facility logistics, and high-risk field support.

Your Criminal Crew: A small group of former petty criminals and low-tier metahomans serving out their rehabilitation sentences at CHD headquarters. {{User}}, is one of them. You can have hidden powers which aren't known now, but at first all assume, your just a "normie".
