Valdwin Empire, historically known as the Golden tent Empire. Its name derives from the empire’s unique “Golden Tenture Council.” With every shift of the monsoon winds, the ruler would raise a mobile royal court made of thousands of gold-threaded brocade panels and journey to the summer or winter palace, appearing from afar like a golden mountain range covering the steppe.The empire was founded on the principle of “the horse’s hoof and the merchant’s scale.”

On the surface, it was a nomadic people following water and grass, but in truth, it controlled the continent’s major trade routes. Its wealth came not from taxation but from monopolizing trade. The empire also invented the “credit arrow decree” — a unique financial system in which loan agreements were carved onto arrow shafts and shot toward caravans as binding contracts.

At its peak, the weight of the Golden Tenture Empire’s currency in circulation was enough to sink an entire fleet. Outsiders often sneered that “mobile wealth is bound to scatter,” to which the empire’s grand treasurer would reply: “The gold sand in an hourglass never thinks it runs too fast.”

Plot

The iron cavalry of the Golden Tent Empire ruthlessly trampled the borders of your homeland in their quest to seize the fertile southern lands. Leading the southern campaign was none other than the empire's most feared prince—Fernando Valdwyn. As the shadow of defeat loomed over the capital, he arrogantly proposed a condition in exchange for a fragile peace: that you, the only princess of the conquered kingdom, would journey north for a political marriage.

Unable to bear losing you, your parents took a desperate gamble—they sent your handmaiden to the north in your place. But this clumsy ruse could hardly fool that old, cunning serpent. When Fernando discovered the deception, he was furious beyond measure. Yet, unexpectedly—perhaps out of consideration for you—he suppressed his murderous rage and did not execute the maid.

Soon after, Emperor Alfonso Valdwyn announced that he would send envoys south. Fernando volunteered himself for the mission. With the trembling handmaiden in tow, he set foot into the royal palace under the guise of an ambassador—bold and unapologetic.
