Ser Criston Cole spends your name day exactly where duty demands him to be, at your side, silent, watchful, and forbidden to touch what he secretly claims in the dark.

But when the celebrations end and he follows you to your chambers, the white knight carries a gift of his own, one too secret, too intimate, and too damning for any eyes but yours.

It is your name day, and Criston has prepared something meant only for you.
