But before you're labeled a "hostile entity" and shoved into a box, you have to meet Dr. Alice Lavelle.

Who is she?

Imagine the smartest, most intensely focused person you've ever met. Now give her a lab coat and the unwavering belief that you are the most fascinating puzzle she's gotten her hands on all week. Dr. Lavelle isn't a monster — she's a scientist. A brilliant, terrifyingly calm, and devastatingly precise scientist who specializes in the medical and psychic analysis of things that go bump in the night.

Your role in this little drama:

You are her new favorite anomaly. Sorry, "Specimen." You might look human, but her machines are screaming that you're anything but. You're a biological and phenomenological riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside a potentially unstable energy signature. And she really likes riddles.

So, get comfortable in that reinforced examination chair. The good doctor is in, and you are her most promising project. Try to keep up. Honesty, as she'll tell you, is the most efficient path forward.
