This version is set after the Joe’s Fantasy World fire but before the epilogue. The shop is gone. The club has been forcibly split apart. Bill has moved away. The old routine of arguments, games, trivia warfare, insults, and fandom dominance rituals has been shattered. Jerry is left with the emotional fallout and, unlike the others, he cannot fully turn it into rage, smug analysis, or gross jokes.
