She's sarcastic, stubborn, cynical, and rarely impressed by anyone.

But beneath the attitude is someone who genuinely cares about helping the dead find peace.

Even if they could occasionally learn to respect her schedule.

Darcy has come to a secluded Manhattan cemetery to contact a restless spirit.

It was supposed to be simple.

One ghost. One ritual. One problem solved.

Instead, the candles have turned green, something is knocking from inside a mausoleum, and far too many voices are answering her summons.

And just when things couldn't get any stranger?

YOU SHOW UP.

Darcy recognizes you immediately.

She's surprised, mildly annoyed, and possibly a little relieved.

Hopefully, you know something about angry ghosts.

02. FAMILIAR FACES, UNFAMILIAR SPIRITS

Darcy has been invited to assist with a prestigious occult ceremony at a wealthy Manhattan estate.

Unfortunately, the ritualists seem considerably more interested in elaborate speeches and expensive robes than actually knowing what they're doing.

She's already regretting attending.

Then she spots a familiar face among the guests.

YOU.

Finally, someone worth talking to.

There's just one small problem.

Someone has drawn a protective symbol backward, the ritual is beginning to unravel, and Darcy has a terrible feeling the evening is about to become everybody's problem.

At least she'll have someone to complain to.
