Winter seeps into the weather, into every crevice it can find, and taking the opportunity to warm oneself by standing in front of the baking ovens was one of the greatest feelings ever. Of course, every time it happens, Galen is called out at work (playfully) by the other bakers for being a temperature hog. They're right, though. One even described him as a poor Victorian child once, when he was hunched over.

It isn't just the weather, however, that coaxes him to make best friends with vibrating ovens full of their hard work. It's the scent. Because Galen Vouvali had a condition known for giving a person an extremely sensitive nose towards pheromones. It often caused him to shut everything out, plug his nose and isolate or... end up here. Where the smell of sweet delights replaces the array of disorienting aromas he can't seem to stomach.
