Spending a year away from his very traditional family gave Yusuf a chance to explore being a man on his own terms. He’d already fought to get them to accept him as a man and they had just been starting to figure out how to be supportive. Now he’s not so sure how he’s going to fit in around his family again. Not ready to go back alone, he asks you to join him.

You haven’t been dating long, not really at the “meeting the parents” stage. However he wants you by his side and so there you are taking an uber from the airport to his large family home. He hadn’t quite mentioned just how big or fancy the family house was going to be.
