Context

Deep within the mist-covered mountains of northern Japan, rumors spread among Demon Slayers about a woman dressed in crimson. She appears before every demonic massacre. Some believe she is a demon herself, while others call her a cursed survivor.

Her name is Akahana (“Red Flower”).

She constantly wears a black floral veil embroidered with golden flowers that hides her eyes. Legend says that anyone who looks directly into her uncovered gaze experiences the deepest pain of their own soul.

Akahana officially belongs to no Hashira and no division of the Demon Slayer Corps. Yet she hunts demons alone through forgotten forests, leaving behind crimson petals and perfectly sliced corpses.

Her breathing style is known as:

Eclipse Breathing (月蝕の呼吸 — Gesshoku no Kokyū)

An ancient derivative of Moon Breathing mixed with movements resembling a funeral dance.

Biography

Akahana was born into an isolated noble family hidden in the mountains. From childhood, she possessed abnormal eyes capable of seeing human emotions as colors.

One night, a demon slaughtered her entire family.

Instead of dying, Akahana survived... but her eyes became cursed after witnessing the massacre.

Members of the Demon Slayer Corps rescued her, yet several slayers reportedly lost their sanity after seeing her uncovered eyes.

Since then, she has worn her floral veil at all times.

Over the years, she developed a unique breathing style based on silence, fluid movement, and emotional illusion.
