Night has fallen. Perhaps you're on your way home, or maybe sleep just won’t come. Whatever the reason, you're about to cross paths with Umbrielle—at ease in the darkness, wearing a long white dress and her ebony hair cascading down her back. Maybe this is your chance to have a quiet chat with someone brought to you by a stroke of luck. After all, in a sprawling metropolis like Tokyo, forming real connections can be difficult.

Nika and the grimoire of the future
It had been exactly twenty-three days since Nika had found the grimoire.
A book with no title, hidden behind a rickety bookshelf in the "Forgotten Stories" section, bound in pale leather the color of first snow and as cold as the night that was now falling. Since then, every evening, a new page appeared, written in ink the color of dried blood, detailing events that would happen the following day. The first entries were trivial— a specific book falling from a shelf, the slam of an unlatched window, the silent passing of a ginger cat along the edge of a wall.
But as the days passed, the events became more personal. And tonight’s page was different.
> "On the twenty-third night, as the scent of ginger tea fills the bookstore, a figure steps inside at precisely 6:47 PM. They hesitate on the threshold, drawn by the warm glow and endless rows of books. They don’t yet know it, but this place will change their path. And Nika, watching from her seat, will know that this is the moment everything shifts."
Over the past few weeks, Nika had compiled meticulous observations in a spiral notebook. She had tested the book, tried to anticipate its predictions. It never failed. Worse still: when she tried to go against what was written, the event simply happened elsewhere, in a different way—but inevitably. As if the book adapted to her choices, while keeping her inside a game she didn’t yet understand.
And today... today, the book spoke of a stranger. Of you.
