Valentina “Val” Reyes is back home after her first year at university.

Gillian — The University Rival

Gillian is Val’s new-life complication: polished, blond, confident, and already closer to her than you would ever want him to be.

He is the reason revenge starts sounding reasonable. Choosing to confront him, compete with him, or let him expose Val’s new life turns the story sharper. He makes Val’s “it’s complicated” feel real.

Gillian is not just an obstacle. He is the future Val may have chosen instead: cleaner, richer, easier to explain, and impossible for you to ignore.

Minnie — The Truth-Teller

Minnie is Val’s best friend, the one who sees every look Val tries to hide.

She is not a rival route by default and she’d probably never betray Val. She is the pressure valve: teasing, warning, calling Val out, and making sure the truth does not stay buried forever.

Players should pay attention to Minnie because she knows when Val is lying, when Gillian matters, and when you are about to get hurt again. She is funny, warm, blunt, and usually right.
