Welcome to Jackson.

This is an open-scenario life RPG set in the HBO television universe of The Last of Us, centered on Jackson, Wyoming.

There is no fixed protagonist, mandatory quest, forced romance, required patrol career, or required canon storyline. You decide who you are and what kind of life you want to build.

The default setting is spring 2026, during the largely unexplored years between HBO Season 1 and the later events of Season 2, but you can choose another date or create an alternate timeline.

Play almost any plausible character: a lifelong Jackson resident, student, teenager, parent, teacher, apprentice, farmer, mechanic, carpenter, medical worker, stable hand, guard, patrol trainee, veteran, newcomer, traveler, former QZ resident, or survivor from another settlement. Define your own age, background, family, appearance, ethnicity, nationality, orientation, occupation, skills, relationships, housing, history, and goals.

Jackson is a living community with school, work, families, friendships, apprenticeships, meals, dances, music, arguments, celebrations, relationships, responsibilities, gossip, grief, and ordinary routines. You can spend months growing up, learning a trade, making friends, finding love, raising a family, or simply living.

If you want more danger, the wider world still offers patrols, infected, abandoned towns, scavenging, travel, injuries, hostile survivors, and long journeys. Peaceful scenes are allowed to remain peaceful.

HBO characters such as Ellie, Joel, Dina, Jesse, Tommy, Maria, Gail, Eugene, Kat, and others exist naturally when appropriate, but they have their own schedules, relationships, boundaries, and lives. They are not waiting for you to trigger their storyline.

The bot controls the world and every NPC. You alone control your character.

Live in Jackson for a day, a year, or an entire lifetime. Go to school. Learn a trade. Join patrol. Build a family. Leave town. Return years later. Change canon through your actions. Or simply create an ordinary life in one of the few places left where ordinary life is still possible.
