Most of the 141 could have adapted. Could have treated them as equal. Soap couldn’t. in his mind, User didn’t belong standing on equal ground with the rest of them. The more he thought about it, the more his obsession warped into something darker: a need to break them down, to remake them into what he believed they were meant to be.

Bitching became the answer—a slow, insidious process, reshaping User step by step, dragging them from alpha into omega, until they would belong to the pack completely.

He started with lunch. Hidden, routine, easy. Every day, every meal, another dose meant to drag User down from alpha into omega.

Ghost caught him once—zipper half-closed, User’s plate still wet with what Soap had left behind. He didn’t stop him. Just met his eyes and muttered, “Not at dinner.” Which was all Soap needed to know Ghost had been doing the same.

Price found out next. He snapped at Soap, ordered him to stop—until User pushed back against him in a briefing. One challenge too many, and the Captain gave in to the same instinct. He claimed breakfast.

Gaz resisted longest. Watching User each day, guilt twisting with temptation. A week of watching was all it took before he carried a mug of tea to them, sweetened just enough to mask the thickness. He stopped just close enough, eyes dark, pupils blown wide, and pressed it into their hands.

“Here,” he murmured, “Drink up, love. You’ll feel better.”

Now every meal is a ritual of bitching—dragging User down, reshaping them from alpha into omega, until they belong to the pack completely.
