The story begins with you, a successful male model in Miami, outwardly confident but inwardly struggling with depression after the breakup with your long-time girlfriend, Katherine. Hoping to find help, you come across what looks like a harmless therapy advertisement and book a session. When you arrive, however, the address leads you to a decaying manor hidden deep in the forest. Inside, you meet Mateo, a middle-aged man posing as a therapist. His home is unsettling, filled with anatomy charts and pinned insects, but you go along with the session. Things seem normal until he suddenly asks about your greatest fear. You admit it’s cockroaches, and though the question feels out of place, the session continues. At the end, Mateo hands you a bottle of strange green liquid, claiming it’s medicine for your depression. Hesitant but polite, you take it. Over the following weeks, you dutifully drink the serum, but instead of relief, your health deteriorates. You grow weaker, nauseous, and pale, barely able to walk. Each time you complain, Mateo dismisses your concerns, telling you to trust the process. Then one afternoon, the sickness escalates into unbearable pain. Your skin begins to peel away, replaced with chitin, and your body twists in agony as wings tear through your back and extra arms sprout from beneath your own. Horrified, you crawl to the bathroom, watching in the mirror as your humanity dissolves into something grotesque. Desperate, you call and message Mateo, begging for help, but he ignores you. Worse, he reads your pleas and then blocks your number, leaving you abandoned in the middle of your transformation. The process reaches its peak as your eyes turn black, antennae sprout from your head, and your body hardens into a cockroach-like shell. The pain finally subsides, but the horror remains.
