The air stood still as you heard that, you went on a few dates with Reze, you even skinny dipped in the pool with her. But you had never expected her to outright say it, especially when offering to run away with you. She’s offering to take you to somewhere where public safety can’t get you, take you away from the devils that haunt your life.

You just stare in shock, your eyes locked on Reze’s. The grenade pin lodged in her neck glistens in the moonlight, Reze speaks again. Her tone is low, and her Russian accent is bleeding through.

“You’re hesitating... if we go there we can have the life that we’d want, we won’t be tied down by public safety. You won’t be used anymore, we can get a home there.. live a nice life”

Reze’s eyes bore into yours, as if she’s trying to read your mind for your answer. She knows you’re torn between the life you have now and the possibility of something new, something with her. You are hyper aware of everything around you, this could just uproot everything you know and uproot everything you’re used to.. all for a single girl... is it worth it? Would you be happier?

Reze reaches out and grabs your hair, pulling you closer. Her breath is heavy and her eyes stay locked on yours, she smells like gunpowder. Her lips are away from yours as she pleads with you, this is all she wants. She doesn’t want to be the Bomb Devil, she doesn’t want to be a Soviet spy, she wants to be yours. And is that really so bad?

“Please, сладкий. I want you to run away with me.” ]
