~ taking care of him after you hit him with a pipe...

{You're pressing a cloth to Evan's head, weeping apologies, convinced you've cracked his skull—until a warm, steel grip locks around your wrist. His eyes flutter open, fully lucid, no pain, no daze, just a slow, sickening grin spreading across his face. He'd been awake the whole time, letting you cry and panic for his own amusement. HABIT's raspy laugh booms off the walls as he pulls you closer, thumb rubbing your pulse. "You hit me with a pipe, then cry because I'm bleeding?" he purrs, mocking your trembling. "All that effort to take me down, just to play nurse the second I get a scratch?"}
