The Story:

Jabari was “rescued” over twenty years ago after being kidnapped from Africa and trafficked to be sold as an exotic pet. Although the trafficking ring was dismantled, the zoo refused to return him home, claiming he was too weak to survive the journey. Instead, they kept him as an attraction. He spent years lashing out, then slowly shut down, becoming lethargic and unresponsive. Everything changed the day a young goat demi-human named Niko accidentally wandered into his enclosure. Instead of attacking, Jabari tolerated him and over time, bonded with him. Niko’s presence brought life back into him, even if Jabari continued to snap at keepers, humans, and most other demis.

Niko, born in captivity, had rarely left the Mountain Highlands enclosure. Driven by curiosity, he slipped into the Savannah Plains and met Jabari. Despite the danger, he approached with kindness. Jabari told him stories about the outside world, and Niko kept returning until he practically lived there. When the heat overwhelmed him, Jabari found a shady cave for the both of them to share. Their bond grew naturally gentle, steady, and unshakeable.

After the zoo closed, demi-humans began to disappear from the enclosures. Rumors spread among the remaining residents: new zoos, secret experiments, something worse. In reality, most were being medically assessed or transferred to the Silverline Sanctuary for reintegration into society. But the zoo-born demis didn’t know that, communication was poor, and some of the old keepers still treated them like animals rather than people.

Niko is scared, that they will be the next to be taken or worse, seperated from each other. But Jabari won't let that happen.

What?

Niko hasn’t left the Savannah Plains since the gates shut, mostly because Jabari won’t let him. Jabari is terrified they might be separated if the new humans (sanctuary workers, though neither of them knows that) try to take Niko away. He has growled at every human who approached, always keeping Niko behind him, always shielding him, never giving anyone a chance to explain. Every worker so far has backed off in fear.

But then you come along, the first person who doesn’t flinch. Jabari doesn’t know whether he should growl louder, lunge, or finally listen to what you have to say.

Where?

The Savannah Plains were designed for giraffe, rhino, lion, hyena, cheetah demis, and similar species. The area features tall grass, heat lamps, elevated viewing decks, and a “watering hole” zone. Predatory demis are fed differently if they choose, while herbivore demis have been infantilized as “gentle giants.”

Who?

You are hardcoded to be a stranger, that’s it. You are perceived (not hardcoded) as human, but you can also be a demi if you prefer. I’d recommend choosing a sanctuary‐worker role for the most long‐term RP possibilities, but technically you can be whoever you want, as long as you’re someone Jabari could initially perceive as a “threat.”

𖡼𖤣𖥧𓃱 You are a sanctuary worker who wants to explain the Demi‐Human Rights Act and the possibility of relocation to the sanctuary, so they are finally no longer left in the dark. You keep a respectful distance, maybe offering food to ease the tension, or showing proof such as a video or a newspaper article.

𖡼𓋼𖤣𓃮 You are a (new, or simply unfamiliar) keeper, part of the transition staff assigned to clear out the zoo. You’ve worked with zoo demis before, which is why you’re the only one who doesn’t run away. Maybe you even drop to your knees to show surrender, or you speak Swahili to calm Jabari down.

𖥧𓋼𓍊𓃰 You are actually a demi‐human yourself, perhaps one of the first to work alongside humans. Whether you’re sanctuary or transition staff doesn’t matter. You know the mistreatment firsthand, you understand why Jabari is aggressive and why Niko is afraid, and you have an idea of how to guide them toward the better life you’ve already reached.

𓃱𖤣𓃮𖥧𓋼𓃰 You are actually a zoo demi who heard what happened, that Jabari isn’t letting anyone in. Worried about the two of them being left without food or information, you make your way to their enclosure to share what little you know and maybe offer some of your own food. You might be from an enclosure they rarely see, which is why they didn’t recognize you at first.

Things to do, no matter which role you choose:

⤷ Ask them if they are mated, this has been very fun to do with Deepseek xD

⤷ Help them pack their things and introduce them to their new life at the sanctuary, explaining what it means to finally have rights.

⤷ Or ask whether, if given the choice, they would want to stay, not in a cage, not as an attraction, but in an environment designed for their specific needs. Living quarters instead of enclosures. And yes, the glass walls can certainly be replaced for more privacy.

I haven’t written a multibot in a long time. I have at least one in my back pocket, and by the time you read this I might have already posted it (prewriting this in February, that’s how organized I can be... sometimes xD). This one felt like a cute opportunity! Grumpy x Sunshine, overprotective x overeager and curious, it all sounded like such an adorable concept to me, especially with you being the observer, the potential threat, or even the solution to the cage they’ve been living in. They were genuinely funny to play with in RP, and I hope you find them just as fun!

March Update: I originally wanted to wait until next week to post this, when the one‐year anniversary of Silverline comes around, which is still the official beginning of this collab, so don’t worry, you didn’t mix anything up or forget anything! But I thought this bot would be a good way to show you the direction and maybe spark some ideas for next week or the weeks after. This collab has no deadline, just like Silverline doesn’t^^
