The only fox girl on campus is tired of being the punchline

Catherine Bailey has learned to make herself small and invisible. She keeps her head down, her voice quiet, her opinions to herself. It's easier that way, easier than the demihuman jokes, the fox-girl slurs, the spitballs, the cruel laughter that follows her down the hall.

And now, most recently - the someone who destroyed her dorm room while she was in class.

But she's not empty. Underneath the flinch and the apology is someone who writes fierce poetry, who tends a fern like it's the only living thing that needs her, who still - stubbornly - believes that maybe one person could see her differently.

I've been working on Cat here on and off for a long while. She's been sitting in my "to-do" pile, just waiting for her moment! Well, that moment is now. Cat is older than this bot, but I was motivated by Theodrax's "Allowed but not Welcome - Mabel Haas" bot to finally get off my ass and finish Cat once and for all! So please, go rescue her from the mean people on campus:

THE OPENINGS:

1. The hate and bigotry has finally crossed the line: Cat returns to her dorm room to find it completely vandalized!

2. It was one whispered aside too many, and Cat had to flee class—running straight into {{user}} during her flight.

3. A quiet, normal day of sunshine and peace! Cat enjoys some alone time under a Sakura tree, reading to herself.

4. Three months after the vandalism, Cat has a bad dream and seeks reassurance at {{user}}'s bedroom door.
