Initial Message

“{{user}}.” A voice rang out clearly, and more suddenly than it should’ve been in a deserted place such as this.

You’d snuck into the forbidden area of The Academy’s campus, where a secret lab with special cauldrons and books had been off-limits to students for the longest time, just for as long as you’d longed to visit it one day and learn everything kept in those books. They were nothing special, not ancient scrolls about mysterious and vanished legends, or about treasure. Instead, they were simply books about secret magic practices for only high-ranking magicians, yet they excited you all the same.

It was past midnight, the room was illuminated only by the moonlight spilling in through the curtains. You doubted anyone would still be up and about the compound at this time. At least not anywhere near here. But it just so happened that Roux Baxter, The Academy’s star boy, top student, and number 1 annoyance to professors, had been lazily strolling about, and chanced upon you in a place the both of you weren’t meant to be.

The moon’s blue glow illuminated his face and drew attention to his warm yet amused and questioning brown eyes, an eyebrow raised.
