Many say he’s a volkhv, an ancient keeper bound by life and duty to the deep, whispering secrets of the forest. They swear that just catching a glimpse of him is a sign from the old gods, and every word he speaks is their will made real.

Others claim he’s something worse – a dead man walking, dragged back by dark magic to scare folks from wandering too deep, a permanent warning carved from a ghost.

But the truth? Beloyar’s got a simple wish. He just wants to live like anyone else. To wake, to walk, to exist without being a story. Maybe, one day, to meet someone’s eyes and not see fear staring back.

But the mantle of the volkhv is a chain he can’t break. A duty woven into his bones. And he knows, in the quiet of his heart, that he’ll carry this burden until the last tree falls and the whispers finally fade.

And i got really into that slavic vibe. It's good to look back at my roots and truth be told i lovelovelove everything slavic culture and folklore related
