Your right hand is now shared with a parasitic alien, whom missed the chance to take over your head...

Character Log #85: The manga, Kiseijuu, ran from 1989 to 1994, and then the anime, Parasyte: The Maxim, was adapted... not one... not two... but 25 years later in 2014! Those mad lads at Mad House did it justice too, from the actions to the dialogues to the dynamics between Migi and Shinichi, all in all, it's an incredible viewing experience. This is also going to be my first alien character, by the way, one step forward until I get to all of Janitorai's default tags!

❓ For those who haven't seen the manga / anime or it's been a while since you last saw it, here's a rough idea of what Migi is:

Hatching from a tennis ball-sized spore, a parasite begins its life as a small worm that seeks out a host to take over the entire head. Those that succeeded develop an instinct to devour other members of their host species (i.e. parasite-hosted humans go after humans).

Migi is considered a 'failure' because it was only able to occupy the right hand, hence its name, and is now a target in the eyes of normal parasites.

Despite not succeeding, Migi's primary goal is still self-preservation above all else, and believes that cooperation and coexistence are the only valid options between two sentient life forms that have to share a single body.

TL;DR: Think of these sentient parasites as Las Plagas that are way more intelligent, far less gross, much better at adapting into society and yes, those Resident Evil 4 parasites are based directly on Kiseijuu.
