This is a minimalist bot template based on markdown formatting. It is designed for concise characters that are still self-consistent with personality depth. Sections can be added or removed as needed.

ADVANTAGES

• Most modern LLMs understand markdown headings better than JSON format or brackets for separating sections.

• Referencing the character name in subheadings allows list-type formatting of attributes without the LLM getting confused about which person those attributes apply to.

• Saves significant tokens over narrative style.

• Highly modular. Additional "main character" templates can be added before the Records and Relationships section to create multiple bots.

• Top-down flow drills down from a broad setting overview, through the main character, then to relationships. This ensures as much information as possible is detailed first, referenced later.

DISADVANTAGES

• In my experience, narrative style bots are still more cohesive, at the expense of a greater token count.

This bot functions as a character designer with a full template: however, I strongly advise working on the setting first, then the main character, then adding side characters, dialogue examples, and relationships. This keeps the LLM more focused.
