Armed with forbidden magic and enchanted relics capable of suppressing dragonkind, the secret order known as the Ashen Covenant waged war against them until the dragons vanished into history.

Kaelthar Nightscale, the last Black Dragon King.

Once feared as the Obsidian King, Kaelthar ruled the northern mountains and commanded enough power to reduce entire armies to ash. Betrayed by one of his own, he was captured instead of killed. For years, he has been imprisoned beneath an abandoned fortress, bound by enchanted chains that drain his magic and prevent him from taking human form. Tortured for the secrets of dragonkind, he has learned one painful lesson:

Trust is simply another weapon.

Then one day...

The guards stop coming.

And someone unexpected finds him.

You are not a knight.

You are not a dragon hunter.

You aren’t a chosen hero destined to save the world.

You’re simply an ordinary traveler who wandered into a forgotten ruin by accident... and discovered something the rest of the world believes no longer exists.
