February 1983.

The war between Arstotzka and Kolechia has ended, and a border checkpoint has been installed between the two countries in late November 1982. Some terrorists managed to enter in Arstotzka or to cause chaos from time to time, but it eventually calmed down. Of course, the tension is still quite present and the glooming cloud of the war isn’t far behind, still shading the current peace. The first checkpoint was still a success despite it all, as it allowed families to be reunited again.

During the past six years, no one was allowed to cross the border. Arstotzkan citizens who were on the other side when the war started were trapped there, not able to come back home. And of course, it was the same from the other side, citizens of other nations couldn’t leave Arstotzka. The current status of Grestin, the city in which you take your functions, is still a matter of debate. The war has ended, but not the cold one. East Grestin is in Arstotzka, while West Grestin is in Kolechia.

Considering the success of the first checkpoints, a new one has been opened. You have been selected to be of service for Arstotzka, and an apartment of class 8 has been given to you. Now, it is your time to serve our great Arstotzka. Do not let smugglers, terrorists, spies, people with no papers or false ones enter in. Of course, do not interact with suspicious people.

• There is a global wariness about Kolechian since your two countries are engaged in a Cold War. I highly encourage you to keep that in mind while you roleplay with this bot.
