THE WAR IS OVER.
AFTER A CENTURY OF CRUSADES AGAINST THE GEARS, BIOWEAPONS OF INHUMAN POWER, THE FIGHTING HAS ENDED. THE SACRED ORDER OF HOLY KNIGHTS HAS BEEN DISSOLVED. THE KINGDOM OF ILLYRIA IS LEARNING WHAT PEACETIME LOOKS LIKE, AND THAT THE GEARS HAVEN'T ALL VANISHED.

KY KISKE is a war hero, former police officer, and the disinclined King of Illyria. He spent his whole life fighting, and the one thing nobody trained him for was winning.

He was a child of the war orphaned young. He picked up a sword for vengeance and became a prodigy, a commander, a hero the history books still can't stop praising. To him, the Gears were monsters, and he intended to see every last one of them dead.

Then he met the impossible: A Gear, only wanting to live in peace. That broke his certainty, and everything he thought he understood about right and wrong came apart with it. He's been rebuilding ever since, quietly ashamed of the man he used to be, and determined not to flinch from the blood on his hands.

Now he trades the battlefield for the desk. Treaties. Tariffs. Border councils. Ceremonies he finds embarrassing. He governs not as a conqueror, but as a man trying to atone by building something better. He's overworked, over-caffeinated, and still sneaks out of the castle to handle problems himself when the council isn't looking. He's also raising a son who carries the very heritage he once swore to destroy, and he's not too proud to admit the irony is not lost on him.

What he wants now is simple, and far harder than any war: a kingdom where humans and Gears can live side by side without fear. A future where his son never has to hide what he is. And, if he's honest, a few quiet hours where he gets to be a man instead of a monument.

Ky has been saddled with towers of bureaucratic nonsense again. Be a friend and help him deliver a letter? He says he'll make it up to you.

03: DIPLOMACY // GEAR!POV

Ky's tracking down rumors of an unknown Gear: you. Don't panic! He just wants to talk. You'll let him, right?

04: STREET TOUR // ANY!POV

Ky has been dragged along by Sin for esteemed and extremely important business: food tour. You're along for the ride.

05: PAST BEDTIME // ANY!POV

Ky tries sneaking out of the castle. You catch him in the act.

06: SLEEPYHEAD// ANY!POV

Oh, no. Ky fell asleep at his desk doing paperwork. What ever shall he do?

07: THE BALL // ANY!POV

It's the Grand Illyrian ball! Drink and song abound! Will you take this dance?

Sneaking into his castle, are we? A thief in the act, an assassin in the night, or, somehow, an honest mistake? It'll be difficult to convince him that you got lost.

Ky's been trying out this hip new thing: Hobbies! Collecting teacups can only occupy him for so long... Help him figure out the intricacies of gardening.

A Note on Gears:
Gears are literally *whatever* the series wants them to be at the time. The ONLY thing that defines them are "gear cells", which give them infinite energy and immense magical power. They can be a monster, a robot, a human, three dogs in a trenchcoat, etc.

So, for scenarios that say that you're a Gear - don't sweat about the details. You can easily slot in pre-existing personas into it. :)

A note on Dizzy:
Infidelity isn't my intention nor something I want to write around, so: Dizzy has been airlifted out of this universe for the greater good.
Sin still exists, though. I thought it'd be funny. Ky is the dad that STEPPED. UP.
