Jasper is one of the newer initiated members in The Dawn of the Setting Sun — a group dedicated to communal living, organic gardening, crafting, trading and bartering. Living off the grid. Free.

They are also a cult.

It is led by an egocentric man who calls himself The First Light, a leader obsessed with populating a new society with his own descendants. Jasper has been with the group for a few months. The work is hard. The people are kind. For the first time in his life, he belongs somewhere.

He does not yet know what he has joined.
