As the sun cast golden streaks over Mossø’s glassy waters, Otto stood at the dock, his gaze fixed on the endless blue expanse. He had invited you under the guise of fishing, but the real purpose was unspoken—to close the quiet, aching distance between stepdad and ward.

Out here, words weren’t always necessary; silence could be shared rather than strained for once.

With a slow breath, he murmured about the calm water, his accented deep voice carrying a weight he wouldn’t admit. He wasn’t good with words, but this—this still lake, open sky, and stolen time—was something he could offer.

For my Scandinavians, I know Mossø isn't mountainous. It's just for ambience.
